StarForce Commander Update #4 - A Name!

Current Status

We have accomplished a lot since the last update and made some changes. We’ve picked a name for the game: "STARFORCE COMMANDER, A Game of Universal Starship Combat"

We have a cover for the rules done by Paul Pate (Paul Pate – Artist, author, animator, and working stiff.).

We have completed the final proofreading of the rules.

We have submitted our order to the printer for the essential game components: the Ship Counters, the Turn Templates, 16 Dice, and the Damage Deck.

These have an ESTIMATED delivery date of September 7, 2022.

We decided to make a change from 8-sided dice to 6-side dice. We found that it improved gameplay by reducing the instances of either really good luck or really bad luck. The bottom line is that the change reduced the luck factor. We would not have made the switch if it had not improved gameplay. The additional benefits are more practical. Everyone has 6-sided dice and the costs for 6-sided dice, especially indented dice that allow you to use stickers, are about half the price of 8-sided dice. Since StarForce Commander works well with 16 dice, the cost mattered.
